The “Italian Proficiency Certificate” is awarded to all UCSB students who complete their second year of Italian-language instruction (Level 6) with a grade of B or higher. Our certificate of proficiency is considered equivalent to a B2 level of Italian language certification according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
