Congratulations to our colleague Claudio Fogu, who has just completed successful book tour in Italy launching L’immaginario mediterraneo nella storia dell’Italia (Pacini Editore, 2025), a translation of The Fishing Net and the Spider Web: Mediterranean Imaginaries and the Making of Italians (Palgrave 2020). Claudio’s tour included presentations at universities and libraries in Genoa, Naples, Florence, Perugia, Cagliari, Bari, Bacoli, Verona, Ragusa, Palermo, and Bologna. The tour culminated in a presentation in the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament where ministers and deputies extolled Claudio’s book and brought well-deserved recognition to importance of Italian and Mediterranean Studies.
